Evisu , the ultimate luxury brand, symbolizes the fashion conscious crowd. Going with this benchmark, they have come out with their spring/summer collection 09 which marks the brand’s recent collection after its collaboration with sports brand PUMA in Feb 2006.
During the Milan Fashion week ,Evisu put forth its Spring/Summer 2009 collection for the Evisu Deluxe and Evisu Hertiage line.The new lines draws its inspiration from history relating to Japan and American almost like combining the best of both their ancient cultures.Both the lines, have been inspired from the same theme of the east meets west but have their own peculiarity.
The uniqueness of Evisu Deluxe collection is the detailed hand washed jeans done in the seas.The inspiration that motivated the detailed washing was Kanrin Maru, the first Japanese ship to set sail to America,which mainly carried the Japanese crew along with one American officer and this collection reflects this influence. The wide-leg cuffed pants and patch pockets with a twist of moderness has been extensively used in this line.
For the Evisu Heritage line, looked at a different part of Japanese history, the “Tairyouki” which means the big fish flag .Traditionally used by Japanese fishermen which represents abundant catch, these brightly colored flags are still in use today as sign of good luck. The same vibrant use of colour can be found in the 2009 Heritage line as.
The Shirts have a classic feel, kind of a traditional aura attached to it with the use of soothing colours in the shades of blue and earthern tones .Though the new collection is centred around history,it is pretty much young and lively. Going a step further, Evisu has also made use of eco-conscious material for this collection.
